Doctoral Track

18th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations – AIAI 2022 will include a Doctoral Track which will be a place for all PhD Students of all conference subjects and topics. 

AIAI 2022 Doctoral Track won’t be just a mentoring track. It will be an open session – forum in which all PhD students could present their ideas, their “up to now” work and they will exchange ideas and thoughts about their research and their ideas. 

Track will also help students to establish networking with all conference participants who are working in similar scientific areas. 

 If you are interested in participating and presenting your work in AIAI 2022 Doctoral Track, please: 

• Prepare a short version of your work (4 to 6 pages) based on the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series format. Word and LaTeX templates can be found here. 
• Please make sure that your work will include all necessary information. Abstract, PhD topics and objectives, final innovation, preliminary literature review, general idea of presented work – methodology (if any), and expected results should be parts of your submission. 
• Send your submission to Doctoral Track Chair, Dr. Papaleonidas Antonios at papaleon@civil.duth.gr not later than 15th of May 2022. 

Submission will undergo a simple selection process. The criterion for acceptance is that the submission provides a clear, structured and well-written description of the PhD topics, objectives, preliminary results & methodology (if any) and expected novelty. The extended abstracts will not be formally published. Nonetheless, they will be publicly available on the conference website.  

Accepted Doctoral papers will be presented as posters or as short presentations. Presentation will take place on the day of PhD track in order to facilitate discussion and networking. Presentation can be done on-site or on-line, but we strongly recommend PhD students to join the event physically to maximize the interactivity and networking return of the event. 

The PhD student participants must register for the conference and be at the Doctoral Track session for the presentation. The registration fee for AIAI 2022 Doctoral Track is 250€ and includes access to all scientific events of the conference, electronic version of conference proceedings, certification of Conference attendance, Certification of Doctoral submission presentation and daily coffee breaks. Registration instructions will be mailed directly to all track presenters. 

All registered conference participants can freely attend AIAI 2022 Doctoral Track.
